Default Re: I have no Standard Graphics Adaptor Driver?

I was starting to suspect that. I had the idea that a universal driver might be out there somewhere, but I guess not.

I went into BIOS and found that my video setting was already set to "PCI." I decided to "reset" it, and when I started Windows, my display went back to the setup I had with my previous card. (I have two monitors, one using the new card, the other using my on-board card.) It recognized both monitors as well as which card went with which.

A little earlier I downloaded firmware from Nvidia, but I didn't think it would work with my card. After poking around on the disk that came with the card, I found that the driver I downloaded was the correct type, and is in fact better than the one that came with the card.

All seems fixed now.

Thank you for the help, tuxfreak. Every time something goes wrong with my computer (or every time I try to add something), I end up having to learn something new. As you have just witnessed, it's not always a joyful ride. Your help is greatly appreciated. :)
