I’ll keep the PCI-E 2.0 card's backwards compatibility in mind. Maybe I’ll grab one of the new GTS cards and just run it off of a PCI-E 1.0 slot till I have more of a reason to upgrade my motherboard.
Thanks for the help everyone, you just saved me a massive headache from when I'd learn that I didn’t need a new expensive MOBO after all.
