Cpu overclocked, may of damaged it.
I upclocked my cpu in steps a bit ago, and once it started to seem unstable I went back a setting. And I started to noticed problems so I slowly went back until I hit defaults where I still have problems.
This is what I have
Asus A8n SLI
AMD athlon XP 4400+
and the zalman heatsink
Zalman CNPS9500 LED heatsink/fan | silentpcreview.com
without the LED
550w powersupply
Windows vista SP1 (has this problem on both)
Here is my problem. I am getting white bars all over and flickering UI problems in games, and after a while, missing body parts, or flashing body parts. It seems if I boot up my PC after a 12ish hour break of being shut down, it's the worst. I am getting them all over the place now. examples.

The animated icons on the right are making one flash across the text box.
It seems that once the pc is up for a while, windows doesn't get very many at all and I sometimes get the flickering in the games which I can fix by alt tabbing and coming back. But after a good amount of days with the pc being up I will start to get problems again. Here are the 3 things I have tried to do.
Reapply paste to the cpu.
reset cmos
Flashed Bios.
Is it hopeless?
