Default Re: Hitting a wall with GA-EP45-DS3R

Thanks for all the help!

Im a little confused on these settings.

is the 1st number the default and the second what i should change it to? or are these a suggested range to test. i placed everything @ the max value you provided thinking thats what you were trying to suggest. could this cause more heat?

Advanced Timing Control [Press Enter]
tRRD...........................................3-4
tWTR..........................................9-11
tWR............................................3-5
tRFC...........................................42-52
tRTP...........................................3-6
Command Rate (CMD) ....................:2

this is what it looks like in my bios ...

Advanced Timing Control [Press Enter]
tRRD...........................................4 - auto
tWTR..........................................4 - auto
tWR............................................8 - auto
tRFC...........................................68 - auto
tRTP...........................................4 - auto
Command Rate (CMD) ....................0 - auto

After using the settngs that you provided , the heat of my CPU jumped from 55c ish @ full load to 74c in prime 95. (monitored in real temp with tjmax of 95)

I tried lowering the CPU voltage to 1.30 and now my temps are steady around 70c @full load in prime 95.

i think this is too hot! maybe i should just go back to 3.16 ghz 333 fsb? :D
