sorry to dig this up, but it actually sounds like this guy was missing a power connector, namely the 2x 4-pin 12V power connectors that connect near the rear panel...

As for you monday, check all of your power connectors for sure, when it doesnt even get to the post screen its usually power connectors. If they all seem to be in the right place, and the CPU and RAM are both seated right, then maybe try booting with an older PSU (or 2 if you dont have one strong enough) to test whether or not its an actual PSU problem, or just connections
