Re: New Build GA-EP45-DS3 + Q9550
What controls the Ports 4 and 5 I though the North Bridge did the 6 yellow ports. Anyway it doesnt matter your probably right. I wont worry too much about it till i get all the parts early next week Im hopping. Im gunna do a RAID 1 not a RAID 0 so I dont think I need to choose a stripe size??
As for the formatting side, how are your thoughs of formatting it NTFS with the Windows XP setup and then installing Windows 7. I just dont get how it can "format" a 1TB drive from a new Partition in like 5 seconds.
As you said if all else fails ill just re-emable the JMicron (Gigabyte) SATA ports and use it for my DVD Drive. Easy. Maybe it wont let me get into the RAID Menu Ctrl + I because I only have the one HDD connected? I just wanted to have a look.
