Yes, they reset to default when you turn the system off. It was one of the CONS I mentioned when reviewing it, but it is one of the best automatic thermal controllers I have used to date so I still recommend it.

The "case": my Thermaltake Hardcano 12 returns to default settings when I turn of the PC.... Is this correct?

That is why I asked... do you know of any kind of mod that can make the hardcano keep its settings?
