Late is better than never moshpit. I'm shocked I am still subed to this thread. My needs have changed a bit since my last post. I still have an use an 860, however my latest 2 builds have been with an AMD six core. I am impressed with them. The 1055T pretty much keeps up with the 860. Intel is still my 1st choice but if money is tight AMD has alternatives.
As far as my crossfire question, I never got into gaming like I thought I would. I process a lot of RAW image files and render a lot of video. I am using a simple GTS250 which is more than enough for my needs. I am still using the system I built the week the 860 went on sale and loving every minute of it. I just built a personal system with an AMD 1055T six core. It is as fast as my 860, runs cooler, and is easy to OC.
