Not happy with Corsair, grrrr

Recently I purchased a new set of red cables for my AX850 from Corsair to fit in with my colour scheme.During fitting one of the wires came
straight out of the main 24 pin connector, and unbelievablely there did not even seem to be a pin in the connector - not funny considering the cost of them.

Roll on several days and my AX850 decides to give up the ghost, despite the fact it is only 11 months old, and has not been heavily used.
So now I have to RMA both items back to Corsair for replacement costing me another £37 in postage. I do wonder whether Corsairs products have gone down in quality?
but their prices haven't !!!!

I will get off my soap box now - feel better for getting it off my chest though. Lol

Buy a cheapish psu like mine in Sig,running well for nearly a year so far

Hi,

Perhaps you are right - certainly could have saved some money and hassle, but usually it does not pay to skimp on the quality of your psu. Not saying that the one
you are using is not good though. Next time I think I will have to research further before purchase. Still think Corsair should do better though - especially as they are
not cheap etc.

i agree with you,there are some novatech gold rated psu's for more money also with 5 year warranty,ive used around four or five units so far and no issues,not saying theres anything wrong with corsair units,you could have just been unlucky with a faulty one,im just pointing out there are some good spec cheaper alternatives out there
