Dear all,
could anyone help me to undertand if the ASRock SATA3 controller is conpatible with ASUS M3N78-EM motherboard?
If YES, could I boot from a disk attached to the external controller?
Thanks in advance for support,
regards
Stefano
Dear Asrock,
I am a customer of Asrock Motherboard H61M / U3S3. I use Windows XP SP3. I have installed all of the drivers in motherboard bonus CD, such Onboard VGA, INF Driver, Management Engine driver, Onboard Audio drivers, etc. And in BIOS setup, I have set Enabled the Onboard HD Audio.
But I still can not play any music, since the onboard soundcard in motherboard, can not be detected. Here what I found using Dx-Diag and Device Manager in Windows.

Here the conclusion is no soundcard detected in my system, hence the audio devices also doesn't exist too.
My question is, how to enable AsRock onboard soundcard in my computer system?
I have read the FAQs in ASRock > Support > FAQ
and I still don't get it, about the tutorial here:
If you use AC'97 front audio panel, please install it to the HD audio header as below:
A. Connect Mic_IN (MIC) to MIC2_L.
B. Connect Audio_R (RIN) to OUT2_R and Audio_L (LIN) to OUT2_L.
C. Connect Ground (GND) to Ground (GND).
D. MIC_RET and OUT_RET are for HD audio panel only. You don't need to connect them for AC'97 audio panel.
E. Enter BIOS Setup Utility. Enter Advanced Settings, and then select
Chipset Configuration. Set the Front Panel Control option from [Auto] to [Enabled].
Because the motherboard manual book says, they are not jumper.
Please tell me, if you have any solutions to my problem. And if you do have any picture to explain the solution, please to send the picture too to my email using attachment.
You can mail me at my email: ekadp73@yahoo.com. Thanks you very much.

Can someone at ASRock gain access to my computer & see what needs to be done so my Microsoft Flight Simulator will run/work more than 10 minutes at which time I get a "Blue Screen of death" as it is called. I have more info re: the Blue Screen but if no one at ASRock can gain access to my computer, there is no use in providing it at this time.
Has anyone seen any answers here from Asrock support?

I have an odd problem with my Asrock Penryn1600SLI-110dB motherboard and my 9800GX2.
The board and card run perfectly in windows with the latest bios and drivers, but as soon as i start up a game the screen goes funny and the pc hangs.
I have tried the system with a GTX260 graphics card and it works perfectly in windows and in games.
The games i have tried are grid, dirt and batman.
My spec:

I have put together a new configuration with Intel i7-2600K 3.4GHz sandy bridge 1155 processor, Asrock P67 Extreme Gen3 motherboard, EVGA GeForce GTX 560 video card, Mushkin Blackline 8 Gb Ram( 4GB each), samsung 830 series 128Gb ssd and western digital caviar black 1 TB hdd with windows 7 ultimate edition. For a month my pc has been working fine but all of a sudden my pc won't progress further from post and shows code 59 on Dr. Debug. In manual codes explanation is: CPU micro code is not found or micro code update is failed. I have tried resetting cmos by "clrCMOS" button, by jumper and even took the battery on motherboard out but still keep getting this code. I have exhausted my research on this code and have not been able to find any explanations on this one. Since the pc had been working for a month and no new hardware is installed, I don't understand the cause of this error. Please help

I have tried pressing clrCMOS button and rebooted but to no avail, also I have booted system with no RAM in memory module which resulted in getting Dr. Debug code 53 as expected and have tried booting up with all 4 memory slots with all possible configurations and it still gives me code 59.
May I ask why is this forum listed on the Asrock website as an official support forum when there is no support provided here what so ever????
I have also opened a ticket to Asrock TSD from the main site but they didn't answer to that as well and this was not the first time.
There are many times when there are no are solutions to the issues one is facing with a product but the fact the Asrock support doesn't even try to help the people here is simply outrageous.
Asrock is many times stated as the cheaper but equally good alternative to the other big brands but now I see it comes with the price of total lack of customer support.
Have new computer for gaming.
Its my 5th one I have built (Not a rookie).
The MB is an ASROCK Z77 extreme6.
It gets a A2 error on startup.
HAVE not loaded win 7 or anything.
Have removed and reinstalled VC to make sure its seated properly as well as all cables.
Still no luck?
How do I diagnose this problem?
THANKS,
Rob
