Fatal1ty P67 Professional showing default CPU speed.

Hi All

Motherboard is excellent working great! im running the latest available v2.00 BIOS.

Currently running a 2500k at 4.8 GHz which is rocking, but windows only shows the CPU at default speed (3.3 GHz) under System Information..

CPU-Z shows 1.6 GHz @ idle then up to 4.8 GHz loaded.. Is there anything I can change in the Bios to make the speed show my real overclocked speed in System Information i.e. 4.8 GHz ?

Also my CPU will do 5 GHz but it wont resume from sleep properly..is As rock going to provide a fix for this ?

My Windows SI also only shows 3.3Ghz ,well 3.32 since Im using 100.5 bclk.At least it doesnt show 1.6ghz which is probably what the cpu is at :)

I guess windows just checks to see what the cpu basic multiplier is.

Cpu will do 5ghz ok, what sort of temps are u getting under extended testing?
What settings are u using for 5ghz?
I dont use it cos my cpu temps get over 80C and fan speeds becomes too high(noisy).

On the bios "fix",I wouldnt hold my breath since 5ghz is outside the standard autoclock range.

maybe it is a multi thing then..its just in games a loose e-peen rofl well what I play anyway shows CPU frequency hehe..

for 5Ghz i need about 1.53 vcore or somethin up there :DD maybe a bit less, tho I have a water setup temps with linpack would be about 80s yes tho I have my system running Passively so 0 noise..
