Are you really concerned about 3.5W? Really?
Based on Australian domestic power charges (which are by no means cheap) - it costs 21.87c per KWh. So at 3.5W you'll be using less than 2c of power a day, hardly worth worrying about.
Hi, I bought an Asrock H67M-GE/HT that is equipped with BIOS 1.60, 16 GB RAM, 120GB SSD and Intel Core i5-2500.
Power supply is a modern 400W bequiet! Straight Power E8 80+ Bronze. Operating System is Windows 7 x64.
When I measured how much energy the H67M-GE/HT consumes power I was shocked: 3.5 watt during standby sleep!
In my opinion that is definitely way too much!
What is wrong with the ASrock mainbiard that it consumes that much energy during sleep mode?
What can I do to get it down to 1 Watt or less? Thanks a lot for help!
