Intel Rapid Storage issue..Please help!!

Hello,

I do not see "Accelerate" button. I have installed latest driver from Intel site and RAID enabled on native ports.

Please help!!

What is it exactly are you tring to do? If you are trying to setup raid press the Ctrl+I to enter intel raid bios to configure the raid.

If you are trying to set up SSD caching look at this thread.

I am using ssd as cashing. I followed the directions. Somehow Accelerate button does not show up. Any ideas?

Bios is set to raid and both hdd and ssd are installed on the intel sata ports? OS is installed on the hdd, and you have the latest Intel raid drivers installed?

Try uninstalling the raid drivers and reinstalling them again maybe.

Bios is set to raid = yes;
Both hd and ssd are on intel sata ports= yes;
OS installed on HD = No -> installed on SSD
Latest Intel RAId drivers: yes

Am i doing it right?

Maybe wait untill Wazza300 sees the post and can make a comment or send him a PM as I believe he is running ssd caching.

But I believe OS needs to be installed on the HDD and the Raid utility copys over the necessary files to the ssd

you need to remove ssd,set to raid in bios,install windows onto hdd,once done add your ssd,load windows install intel rapid storage drivers,reboot then acceleration should appear in rst console click it and thats it

dont be shocked to see 5.9 in wei for hdd,this is normal because the ssd isnt the os drive,just a caching drive

I was trying to run OS from SSD and allocating some space for Caching so that my documents which are on HD can also have fast access time. Is this config not possible?

Follow his link this is what I followed.
When installing apps or games so far 50% have default to being installed on the hdd. Others I have had to change to install on the hdd instead of the ssd.

Apps like Itunes default to have the library on the hdd so the ssd stays nice and clean and only things you want or need get installed on the ssd.
