    Default Fatal1ty Z77 Professional VT-d Support?

Could someone with a Fatal1ty Z77 Professional board check in the UEFI settings to see if there is an option to enable VT-d. In nearly all other ASRock Z77 boards it is in the "Advanced North Bridge Configuration" section. It has been removed from the manual for Fatal1ty Z77 Professional. However appears in the Performance, Extreme4, Pro3 .... etc. I am looking to use the Professional board in a VMWare ESXi 5 machine and this is a deal breaker if its not available.

Also check that the cpu you select supports VT-d.
The quad core K models do NOT support SIPP, vPro, VT-d and TXT.

Thanks, I'm well aware of that. I made that mistake with a i7-2600K last year.

    Dear bjgeiser,

Z77 Professional can support Vt-d function.

We use the follwoing device for test:
    Server system:
    CPU:i5-3550 (K series doesn`t support VT-d feature)
    Mohterboard:Z77 Professional
    DRAM:Patriot DDR3-1600 4GB * 2
    HDD:WD 1TB
LAN:Broadcom NetXreme BCM5751-03(PCI-E Giga LAN card)
    Software:VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi) 5.0

    Client system:
    VMware view 5.01 Clinets (64bits)
    Mohterboard:Z68 Pro3
    DRAM:Cosair DDR3-1600 4GB
    LAN:Onboard LAN
    OS:WIN7 SP1 64bits

All the Z77 chipset supprot VT-d function, but the VMware 5.0 can`t recognize HDD on SATA port with Z77 chipiset.
It may need to waiting to VMware release newer version to support Z77 chipset.
If you would like to use VMWare ESXI as server system, please kindly prepare a USB HDD Box for installing VMware.

    Thanks!

    Have a nice day

Thanks Emily. Why is this not included in the Z77 Professional manual? All of the other ASRock Z77 manuals I've looked at have it. Also it appears VMWare is actively adding support for the new PCH (VMware Communities: Unable to detect on-board SATA...)

    Z77 Extreme4 Manual: In manual, page 62
Z77 Professional Manual: Bios option removed from manual, page 75

    Dear bjgeiser,

    Thanks for your feedback.
Z77 Professional user manual lost "Vt-d" option.
We will modify the user manual.

    Thanks!

    Hi Emily,

I would like to buy an ASRock z77 matx. Is Fatal1ty Z77 Professional-M or Z77 Pro4-M supports vt-d too? Thank you.

    Regards,
    John Ko
