First of all why did you flashed the newer version if you are not planning to switch for an Ivy Bridge CPU?
Second - did you performed full CLRCMOS?
Third - If there was a warning not to flash to old UEFI why did you tried?
Hello,
I had no problem so far to use my i5 2500k with a multiplier of x50 and a bclk of 99.8.
I just flashed the latest beta bios (P67PE3.02) that support the Ivy Bridge ix generation.
With this new bios I get 3 serious issues:
1) The max multiplier is x37, like for non K cpu (i5 2500 for instance),
clear bios does not change anything. Turbo boost settings does not change anything on this.
2) The bios only sees 2 rams (dual channel) instead of 4 rams (of 2 GB each).
CPU-Z under win 7 still sees the 4 but I only get 4 GB available in the task manager.
3) Only one of my GPU is recognized. The SLI is lost.
Swapping the cards on the first slots shows that they both work fine (as before changing the bios actually).
Reversing back to an older version of the bios does not help (as mentionned on the asrock website, revert to an older version should not be done).
What can I do now ?
Asrock really messed-up I would say with this bios !
Kind Regards,
xixou

Because in case I update the cpu I would have to do it anyway.

Yes.

Because This is messy with the new one.
I'm in the same boat. Only thing, my multiplier sort of goes up to 34 on a h61 (2500k in it though) after a bios flash.
I think they rushed the bios. They should have made separate ones for sandy and ivy. Updates were supposed to solve minor issues, not give us major ones.
What really upsets me is that their support still haven't contacted me after a week.
Did you also try emailing support? Maybe if more people complained their staff will work faster. Lol
Btw, I heard there's a glitch with a p67 beta bios that oc'ing will only work if the voltage offset is nudged slightly. Can't remember which beta though...
Plenty of P67 owner got the same problem with the beta bios,
I hope Asrock will fix their mess.
I contacted them.
Let me know if you found a way to sort it out.
Do you also have memory/sli issue ?

Not sure if this will help you out but there is some talk about the same problem as far as being told not to flash back to older uefi/bios **Official** Asrock Z68 Gen3 Extreme7 & Extreme4 thread - Page 26 start reading at post #632

Not really. My mobo has dual channel and no sli. How could they miss a problem this big...
Dear all,
I did the test on my side, but I didn't see the symptom.
After updating P67 Professional BIOS L3.02, CPU ratio still can be adjusted over 37 and four sticks memory can be detected normally.
Please kindly re-flash BIOS and then load BIOS default settings to try first.
If the problem still cannot be solved, please refer to below link to check the serial number and then provide S/N and model name for me via PM.

Thank you!
Have a nice day
