Asrock SATA3 Card

Hello guys,

I'm going to but an Asrock SATA3 Card. I have motherboard p5QL and SSD Vertex 3 120gb. My motherboard has port 3 gb, and my SSD go aroud at 250 of write/read.

I want to know if with Asrock SATA3 Card there is a benefit, like 10% of performance on SSD.

I would not recommend that card as it looks like you wont get "FULL" Sata3 speeds out of it. The Marvell 9182 controller gives the closest "FULL" sata3 speeds.

I would suggest looking for a IBM ServeRaid M1015. It can be found on ebay usally from $60 USD - $150. This controller will allow you to connect upto 8 Sata3 devices and has Raid0,1, and 10 support.
