I use safe mode a lot, on different bases not using UEFI, safe mode is pretty much quick, using UEFI to contain safe mode generates horrible safe mode startup performance.
If I may ask, are I not alone on this subject of matter?

Maybe no one else uses safe mode? I know I haven't used it in years, and have never used it since moving to Win 7.
Can I ask wht you use it for? Just curious.
This guy here has the same problem...How do I get some ASRock support?Should I open a ticket if ASRock has a ticket system? Why does ASRock have these forums on their website if no one has any support?Thank You.The forum keeps bunching my grammer together, gahlee.

Seems he has a Dell system. Are you sure it's the UEFI causing the slowness? I just booted my Fatal1ty P67 Performance into safe mode with networking. Took a total of twelve seconds. Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
I'd say so, this is the first I ever used UEFI, and very first experience of this situation. It goes exactly how Galvin explains his situation, where all the drivers load, each line takes about 2 seconds to load, ton of lines, a good couple minutes, vs as you stated, 12 seconds as it should be, as how I experienced fast safe mode in the past..Now, idea jsut popped, I am wondering if it is the Intel HD Graphics 2000 that is causing it.
