Z68 Pro3 Gen3 + 3570k = Blackscreen

Hi,
today i bought a Z68 Pro3 Gen3 together with an Core i5 3570k.
I thought the Pro3 Gen3 would support Ivy Bridge CPUs out of the box, but it seems i was wrong. All it does is a black screen und 4xBEEP when powering it up.
So i guess i have to flash the latest BIOS to make it work, but can i flash it without an Sandy Bridge CPU or is it possible to make a "blind flash"?

I think that the safest way to go is to borrow or buy (~$40 USD new) a low end Sandy Bridge cpu for flashing.
A used cpu would be even cheaper.
Another option is to see if a local computer shop can flash your motherboard for less than the cost of a cpu.
If a blind flash fails, what is your next move?
