Asrock p67 PRO3 D6 Error - Tried everything

Hello.

I just upgraded my pc, (processor, ram and mb), and I can't seem to get my mb to recognize my VGA card.

Current config :

Proc : I3 2120 3300mhz
MB : Asrock p67 PRO3
Ram : 8gb (2x4gb) Corsair Vengeance CL8
Video Card : Gigabyte 6870 OC - 6 months old
PSU : Intertech Energon Quad Rail 650W - 6 months old

I keep getting D6 error no matter what I do.

So far :

- Video card works perfectly fine on my old mb
- Tried 3 video cards. PC works fine with an old ATI x800, but does not boot with the 6870 or with a 9600GT that I tested also.
- I took it apart and put it back 4 times, checked if the cpu is properly fixed 3 times, tried with just 1 stick of ram, in different ram slots, tried different molex cables, tried disconnecting everything but the processor and gpu from the PSU etc. - Not that it matters since with the ati x800 all of these components work fine.
- Upgraded mb bios to version 3.2 (the gpu has the last bios version already).
- Reseted cmos by taking out the battery 2 times, first time 10 min, the second time 30 min
- Set PCI-EXPRESS as default graphics in BIOS

So, bottom line, all the components work perfectly, but i can't get the mb to work together with the 6870 gpu.

So that we don't lose time and energy:
- pls don't tell me to rearrange the gpu, I did that 100 times
- pls don't tell me the PSU is not enough, it's more than enough and it's been carrying this gpu easily for 6 months now.
- pls don't tell me to check the cables, I did that 100 times
- pls don't tell me the GPU is faulty, it works perfectly when i replace the MB with the old one
- pls don't tell me to check if my PSU is ON, I'm not a retard :)


I read all I could find on the subject on google, just can't get past the D6 error.

Pls Help!

P.S. : The 3 coolers from the GPU do start spinning when they are supposed to.

Did you try flipping the CMOS switch instead of taking out the battery?

I have 3 video cards working perfectly on my old system, and only 1 of them (10 years old) is recognized by the asrock mb.

Did you try other processor? Sandy Bridge has PCI-E controller inside. Check if all cpu socket pins are good.

As I said in the original post, i checked the processor 3 times, pins and everything, and the processor WORKS anyway, the new system works FINE with a 10 year old PCI-E video card, but not with the 6870 and the 9600gt.

I've seen many ASRock threads where the problem was due to the bios version.
In some cases, ASRock had to provide a beta bios version to fix the problem with the video card not being recognized.

My hardware is listed in the original post.

MB didn't work with the original BIOS, didn't work with the 3.20 bios from the download list on the asrock site, and now it does not work with the 3.25 bios delivered to me by e-mail by Asrock Emily.

Your hardware list is not complete.
Many of us don't post in threads where we can't quickly check the full hardware list by looking at your forum signature or by clicking on PC Specs.

Seems it was broken. I sent it to the retailer and their service couldn't get it to work either. I'm recieving a new one today.

1: remove gpu
2: clear cmos
3: reset jumper
