Check the heatsink's mechanical drawing dimensions at the Noctua web site for memory clearance.
Many memory modules have heat spreaders that are very tall and they might interfere with the heatsink or cooling fan.

i would like to buy the Z77 extreme 9 but also I need a silent air cpu cooler how is the compatibility with noctua ones?

Loading OPTIMIZED bios defaults is REQUIRED before you tweak your bios settings.
