Check the motherboard user manual to see if the you need to format a usb flash drive using FAT32.
With Gigabyte boards, the bios flashing procedure will not recognize NTFS partitions.
Verify that win XP is supported by the motherboard.
flash BIOS needed?
I've installed a N68C-GS FX motherboard for a client & get a blue screen when loading Windows XP. I have downloaded BIOS drivers from the website, but the Flash BIOS utility doesn't recognize it. I can enter safe mode & do the basics with network support, but can't get rid of the blue screen or get BIOS to see the utility that is supposed to be available on the MB's website. Please help

Loading OPTIMIZED bios defaults is REQUIRED before you tweak your bios settings.
This includes new system setups and immediately after flashing your bios!!!
