    Default N68C-GS FX bios Flashing Problems

    I am having the same problem with a N68C-GS FX board I recently installed. I get a blue screen that prevents anything but safe mode. I've installed the internet provided BIOS update from the website & placed it on a USB drive, but BIOS doesn't recognize a compatible driver on the stick. What do I need to do??

    MMm if you don't get any replies try a separate post. Did you get this BIOS from the Gigabyte site? If it's the wrong size the BIOS might not recognize it. You might try @BIOS if all else fails. I've never bricked a board with it but supposedly it's not as safe as using Qflash. I'm not familiar with your board, hopefully someone else will chime in.

    @asrclient321
    We can best help you if you provide a detailed hardware list that includes brand names and model numbers in your PC Specs information.
    Is your system a new build?
    Did you follow all the installation procedures in your motherboard user manual?

    I'm moving your post to a new thread in the ASRock forum.

    What is the BSOD error code?
    Your system might boot into windows with only one memory module installed.

    Which bios version type are you trying to use? DOS? Instant Flash? Windows?
    On the ASRock website, did you read the How To Update instructions for the type of bios update that your are using?
    Is your usb formatted to FAT32 as required in the instructions?

    I downloaded the Instant Flash zip file for v1.20 and unzipping this file gives the N68CGSF1.20 bios file which needs to be copied to the FAT32 formatted usb drive.

    We still don't know the details of your hardware setup.
    Include the brand and model numbers for your hardware in the PC Specs panel.
    We are not mind readers.
    Your approach is "Hey doc, I've got a headache, what's wrong?"
