P5B-DE AHCI support???

Hello everyone!

Please help me, I am really need information about supporting AHCI mode by P5B-DE motherboard. It's very important for me and I can't find any information about it! Can anybody help me?

Sorry: the board DOES NOT have AHCI. You can use an SSD, but its missing out on some features. This board shows Vista as an OS. Windows 7 is showing under downloads but not with the ICH 8 driver. Should be able to use the Vista one for win 7, this way the drive will get TRIM commands from win 7.

I don't know whether you are still reading this. Actually, someone in some German forum posted a BIOS for the P5B-DE, which enables the AHCI option. I use it and it works fine. The thread can be found here: Asrock p5b-de - kein AHCI? - ComputerBase Forum. The file is called P5BDE_1.zip and is a variant of the 1.10 BIOS.
