Z68 Pro3-M & Sidewinder X4 boot failure

Hi - I have just built a new pc with an AsRock Z68 Pro3-M & UEFI 1.20. Using an old PS2 keyboard I had no problems. With a Microsoft Sidewinder X4 the boot process freezes at the first power up screen and will not budge. I have tried an aged usb/ps2 adapter with the same result.
Any help would be appreciated. TKIA

Answer appears to be to enable 'UEFI Setup Only'

Hi Emily many thanks for that. I found that enabling 'UEFI Setup Only' fixed the problem by powering up my keyboard in the bios process enabling me to get to the bios screens.
However while getting ready to upgrade my bios I looked for a way to backup my current bios in case v2.30 has a problem. I could not find one! There must be a simple answer...
