Just a follow up post. Got the system running.
The outlined components work successfully.
The motherboard I have doesn't produce a successful POST beep.

Hello All,
I wanted to see if anyone has run into a similar problem with an A75M-ITX board.
I have only the core components installed into the motherboard (CPU, RAM) and when I attempt to turn it on the system will not POST. No beep codes. I can only get a beep code response if I remove both sticks of RAM.
Current configuration:
Motherboard A75M-ITX
CPU A8-3870K
RAM (2x8GB) KHX16C10B1RK2/16
I have already RMA'd the CPU and MOBO, moved the DIMMs between slots etc. I suspect the RAM may not be supported?
Any ideas?
Or has anybody put together a similar build with 16GB of RAM? Which model of RAM did you use?
