Fatal1ty 990fx + fx8350 problem

So i just got my new fx8350 today, updated the bio's for my Fatal1ty 990fx and dropped it in.

Problem is that im only seeing 6 cores?, hwinfo shows i have 8 physical and 8 logical processors on the system summary, but in the hwinfo window i see 8 and 6 on central processor, and 8 - 8 in fx8350.
HWmonitor only shows readings for cores 0-5, Cpu-z shows 6 cores 6 threads, and resource manager only shows info for cores 0-5.

i'm hoping someone here can tell me ive missed something completely stupid xD,

side note - i didnt re-instal windows but i may do so tomorrow morning if i cant find a solution.

(Edit:- reinstalled windows this morning and all is well, you can delete this thread if you wish or keep it here in-case someone else has the same issue, i couldn't find anything anywhere)
