I've had a similar issue with erratic behavior from some of the MB header USB ports but I haven't taken the time to isolate which port and under what circumstances it occurs.
Hi,
Recently I was trying to copy a large amount of photos (10 GB) from my internal hdd to my external usb hdd device "WD My Passport 0730 USB Device" connected to the front USB3.0 header. The usb hhd was idle every think was working well. When it starts coping files after a short time the process stopped and the device disappeared and was reconnecting again and again. When I attached my usb hdd do the rear header (directly to the motherboard) every think was working OK.
Is anyone also having this issue? Not sure what to do. Any help appreciated.
I'm using the latest drivers form station-drivers site.
