Extreme 7 x79, win 8, Marvell 9182. On a single drive running at 550R 510W.

Running RAID 0 with vertex 4's using the 1027 driver getting 700R 500W.

The newest Marvell driver 1032, getting 700R 600W, on RAID 0.

Ran ATTO for bench.

Would be nice to see different board benches on your Marvell.

Any increase with the new driver ?

Hi odie, You might not get to many replies here, as most of the ASR Z77 boards use the ASMedia 1061 add on chipset, which does not support RAID. Even if it did, it would still perform like the Marvell 9128, since it only uses one PCIe lane at 5Gb/s, shared between two ports. You know how that would (not) perform in RAID 0.

It would be interesting to see how well the 9172 on the Z77 OC formula performs. Given the few PCIe lanes available on the Z77 platform, who knows if the 9172 is connected to more than one PCIe lane.

Your results with the 9182 are good, to bad that chip is not used on more boards.

Hey, hope all is well. Back when I was looking at boards, I think this was the only one with the 9182, I didn't realize that the 1155 used mostly the ASmedia, I did notice that I didn't see the 9182.

Figured if I put this in a place that seems to get the most traffic I might get to see a few, really want to see some 9172's and performance.

If you have a better place that covers all boards where we can see some good numbers posting back, let me know, or if you have one out their.

I have an z77 oc formula, but i'm running linux. maybe Santa will bring me more SSD for Christmas. :) if so, i'll test the speeds on linux. (the raid driver is built into the linux kernel)
