Question Where do I find 1394 GUID on 990FX Pro

I am looking for the 1394 GUID on the Fatality 990FX Professional. The tool instructions I have seen say it's on the Floppy connector, but there is no floppy on this board.

Anyone know where I should be looking? I've looked it over a bit (still in the case) and don't see anything with 16 characters anywhere.

I'm not using a PC whose board has a firewire connector right now, but if you can find the firewire device/chip in Device Manager, and then click the Details tab, you may find a reference to GUID among the entries.

Also, Firewire GUIDs supposedly do not follow the rules of GUIDs, and apparently use the same GUID across manufactures. They are also of a non-standard length, only 64 bits instead of 128 bits. A common Firewire GUID is 0x30E002E0454647.

See Post # 7 of THIS thread.

If that doesn't help, and it isn't found on the sides of any of the plastic bits or on the back, then contact ASRock TSD - Emily via a PM(<-Link). She is very helpful and responds accordingly.
