Asrock z77 2TB+ Problem. Cant boot

i have Asrock z77 Extreme6 motherboard.

im using a Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD for OS and Toshiba 2TB hdd for storage.

when i got the mobo, first i updated the bios to 2.40 the last one.

then i got the problem; when i connect the 2tb hdd, pc freezes at bios screen and cant pass it, also cant get in bios settings.
the error code A2.


i downgraded the bios recpectively from 2.40 to 2.30-2.20-2.10-2.00 and 1.90 and then pc started normal with hdd.

another user, using asrock z77 extreme4 has the same issue and solved at bios version 2.00.


the changes made at extreme4 2.10 bios are the same as extreme6 2.00. that made the mobos cant recognize 2tb+ hdds.

Finally i got hdd run proper but i ve lost fast boot option, that is the main reason for me to buy this mobo.


i think Asrock should fix this in next bios version.

dividen 2tb hdd to 2 partitions and can boot now with bios 2.40
gpt doenst matter

this crappy motherboard cant recognize 2tb unique partition.
