Default Strange Issues with an Nvidia 660ti

Well, here's my issue. I currently have the Asrock z68 Extreme3 Gen3 mobo. In the bios, I have the Onboard video set to the preferred option. With that selected, it uses the integrated graphics, as it should, and I am able to use my 660ti just fine, with Virtu installed. With PCI-E selected as the preferred option, I get NO output on either of my monitors. Which causes me to turn my PC off and remove the 660ti and access the bios again and revert the settings back to Onboard.

If I explained myself clearly, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to get this to work properly when I select PCI-E in the BIOS settings?

I have the latest bios update. (2.30)

If you need any other information, let me know!

I also forgot to mention that I even cleared the CMOS. Removed the battery for 30 minutes. Didn't help.

    Hi,
I have the same Asrock z68 Extreme3 gen3 mobo and already used a radeon 7950/7970 and a Palit geforce 660Ti as well. I didn't have any issues at all and my option is set to PCI-E as preferred. Didn't even update my bios

@Boskosauce, which video ports are each of your monitors connected to?

@Winterchill, is Virtu installed? Which video port is your single monitor connected to?

Right now, HDMI is plugged into my 660ti and DVI is plugged into my mobo. When its set to PCI-E, I tried both DVI and HDMI. Neither output anything.

With it set to Onboard as the default, things are working fine. I may keep it set to this. Unless I can have things work the way it should.

Edited original post with another thing I tried.
