Default ASrock X79 Extreme 6 XMP problems?

Decided to go with ASrock X79 Extreme 6 and paired it with i7 3930k.....Having issues getting Ram to run over 1600Mhz, tried XMP 1.2 and PC won't boot, tried setting manually 1866 and 2133 still no post. Only runs at 1600, installed sticks in correct slots as per ASrock, A1,B1,C1,D1? Did not bother to flash bios because i have version 2.20 which is latest at ASrock website......Right now sticks are running at a stable 1600Mhz with timings of 8-8-8-24-1T but was informed that my Gskill Model (F3-17000CL11Q-16GBXL) should have no problems being recognized by board and run at rated speed of 2133Mhz. Never had a problem running these on my Gigabyte Z68 using XMP. What could be the issue here?

Yes! I had a comparable problem. Really very often BSOD! Alter the update to Bios-Beta-Version L2.24 the Memory problem can be solved.

    regards,

Updated to bios version L2.24 beta but still did not fix my memory problem? Still can only post at default 1600Mhz....starting to really wonder about this ASrock board?

Are you able to post grabs of the Memory and SPD tabs of CPU-z?

Not sure exactly what you mean but only posts or boots at 1600Mhz speed.......I can manually lower my timings to 8-8-8-24-1T and it will show up in CPU-Z correctly.

CPU-z has several different windows that you can display:
CPU, Caches, Mainboard, Memory, SPD, and Graphics
wardog wants you to post a single screen-shot of the Memory and SPD windows from CPU-z.

You can run several instances of CPU-z at one time.
Crop the screen-shot so that the remainder of the desktop is eliminated and the CPU-z information will be legible.

This is a sample CPU-z screen-shot from the web showing the SPD and Memory windows:

Did you manually enter the timings 8-8-8-24 1T ?

And are you overclocking the CPU?
