Default New System Build - Graphics Card not working

    Hi

I've just put together a new PC. AsRock 990FX Extreme3 Motherboard, EVGA GeF GTX 670 2GB GDDR5 Graphic Card, AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor, Corsair 8GB Vengeance LP Performance Memory Module, 2TB WD and 128GB SANDISK solid state drive and an Alpine 600W PSU Gold fan

It all powers up OK, but no signal from graphics card. Tried moving slot from primary, no joy - moved it back. Stuck!

Is the AsRock 990FX compatible with the EVGA 670? or is there something else I should look at?

    Hi therealbruce,

Please refer to below suggestions to check your system.
    1. Clear CMOS.
    2. Only install a stick memory module to check if the system works well.
    3. Install memory module to other DRAM DIMM to try.
    4. Re-install CPU, memory and VGA card to try again.
    5. Only install the necessary devices of system (CPU, a stick memory module and VGA card) to check if system boot normally.
    6. Please check if the power connector of VGA card is connectred correctly.
    7. If possible, please change another CPU, memory or VGA card to try again.

    Thanks!

    Have a nice day

    Module, as in one?

While it runs contrary to what the manual suggests, place the memory(one 8GB stick, right?) in either the A1 or B1 slot and retry. If you have two sticks, try them in the A1+B1 slots and retry.

I might also suggest taking the memory to a working machine and test with MemTest86+ for 3-4 passes, preferably 8-9.
