    Lightbulb Triple Display Setup - z77 - i7 3770 - GTX 560

    Hi guys,

    I'm having a bit of a problem.
My rough setup: Asrock Z77 Pro 4, Intel Core i7-3770 , 8gb ram, Leadtek GeForce GTX 560.

Currently I'm running a 24" Dell Monitor connected to the DVI cable of the discreet card, and a Plasma LG TV connected to the miniHDMI port of the discreet card.
    --------
my problem: I need to buy a third display ( a Wacom Cintiq ) that has a different resolution from the main Monitor...and I'm used to work in mirror mode. How can I achieve this? As far as I've read...I cannot connect the tablet to the discreete card...because it cannot run 3 displays at the same time. My idea was to use the integrated graphics HD 4000 from the MB for the Cintiq. Would that be possible...I mean to run two displays on one card ( the GTX 560 )...and one on the HD 4000 ? I've did some research...but I'm seeing conflicting info on this. Theoretically the HD 4000 can run in parallel with the discrete card..right?

Also...the plasma I use not very often...but I cannot run the cintiq and the monitor in mirror mode on the discreete card because they have different resolutions ( one 1920 x 1200 and the other 1920 x 1080 ) ..running in mirror mode will cause one of them to display wrong aspect ratios...and I cannot have that.

Obviously, I need some help here. What's my best choice right now?

PS: I have a " plan B" : to buy another discreete card just to run the third display properly....but I'm trying to avoid that....so I need help :)
    Thanks guys!
    Daniel

sorry man, wish i could tell you that would work just fine. But I can't......

your best bet would be a new video card.....

I am POSITIVE that an hd 6xxx or hd 7xxx series would work with dif. resolutions....

and am pretty sure (not 100% tho) that an Nvidia 6xx series card will work.....

my suggestion would be to search the classified sections on these tech forums for an hd 6950.. prolly find one for $125

Did you test this somewhere...or this is just an assumption? I need to know this for sure before throwing $125 out of the window :) ...maybe the HD 4000 could work in parallel with the GTX. I just need someone who tested this to let me know.

Contact Binary Fortress Software and see what they recommend for your hardware setup.

You cannot use two video cards/chips/sources individually at the same time (SLI/XFire combines cards), there is no way to enable that in the BIOS. You can select one video source at a time, there is no parallel operation.

The Lucid Virtu software combines the onboard video with a video card (with varying degrees of success) but they are not independent.

While your goal would seem fairly common, and does not seem that exotic, I'm not aware of any PC board that allows two separate video sources to operate simultaneously. If that is possible, I'd like to see how it is done.
