I checked the specifications of many of the new Haswell motherboards (for example the B85M-ITX) and I see that for most of them the maximum resolution supported in the HDMI interface is 1920x1200. A new feature of Haswell 4600 integrated graphics (compared to Ivy Bridge) is that it supports up to 4096x2304 in the HDMI output, but looking at the specs it seems that only the high-end haswell motherboards with DisplayPort output also allow these high resolutions in the HDMI output. Does it mean then that there is a physical limitation in the motherboard preventing to use for example a 2650x1440 resolution on the B85M-ITX through HDMI?
