This tends to happen when the header of the avi file is corrupt.
I got a problem with DivX
Only occurs when I watch one particular movie.
DivX insists on sucking up the whole windows page file in a matter of 10 minutes. My page file is only about 1.6GB and the movies AVI size is 650MB yet it still manages to increasingly use the PF to a much greater degree than that of other movies.
Is there a way to play off a CD and stop DivX using the page file?

Yep - dialup uses to be like that in Australia but now you generally get unlimited downloads.Originally Posted by zeradul
