First of all, the best way to get a video signal from an analog source to a PC is through either a ViVo capable video card or through another device which has the capability... The rest of the questions all depend on what you do. Once you get the video onto your PC, you can convert it to any type of video you want. The whole quality thing depends on how good looking / sounding you make your videos. Also, quality is directly related to file size too, so all you gotta do is experiment a little and see what you like the best...
