cant remember if ive tried them or not,you can always go back to older drivers if you dont like them or they give problems
I was curious if anyone here has tried the Xonar Unified drivers with their Xonar cards. I have read a lot about them being overall pretty decent compared to the Asus Xonar drivers. I have the lower end Xonar DG which I believe is
very good ( it is my first sound card ). I had upgraded the driver from the Asus site ( 1792 to 1793 ), a while back and had a bit of trouble doing this, resolved getting the driver installed properly by uninstalling and installing in safe mode--don't know why this worked but it did. I have heard if your sound drivers are doing fine not to mess with them, however curiosity gets the best of me "sometimes". The benefit of the unified drivers among supposedly better sound is a reduced dpc
latency. I have the Xonar control panel disabled for windows startup and only access it through the startup program menu and was wondering if this may help reduce some of the latency probelms I have read mentioned.
thanks for any advice--rclark--
