It's most likely the old monitor plus it's also better to use monitors of the same size. ;)

How would I be able to set up dual monitors?
I have an Albatron GeForce4 Ti4200P w/ DVI-VGA Adapter, 17" Samsung SyncMaster 763mb and an old Compaq 14" Monitor (which I want to use as the secondary monitor). I am using the 40.72 detonator drivers that were just recently released.
Everytime I shutdown the computer, hook up the second monitor, I go to turn the computer back on and it won't load but if I take the second monitor out, it will so there is obviously an issue. Can I even do it with this old monitor?

Usually you just go into the driver properties and detect the 2nd monitor and allocate it's position. ;)

Is it possible for us to hook up our tv and use it as a monitor, and run full screen applications on it?
So are you say the monitor won't load, or the OS? If it's the monitor I'd say cuz it isn't a PNP monitor and you'd have to manually load it. I'm new to XP, so I don't know if it will try and load everything or not, but that would be my suggestion.
As for the size, they don't have to be the same, you can set your resolution for each monitor in the Display Settings. On my setup, the signal went to both, and I had double display. However, I have (2) of the same monitors.
Your's may not do this because of the size difference. If it's just black, got to the Display Properties and try to activate it there. Also, don't forget the drivers that came with the VC to activate it as well.

I have the tv activated with the monitor, I also have a bare copy of my desktop on my tv, no icons unless I move them there. I was hoping that instead of an extention of my desktop, it would run like a miror of my desktop, in otherwords I'm wanting to use my tv as my primary display. Is that possible after windows loads?

You can use a TV as your primary but why would you?
Most TV's only display 640x480 (some will go to 800x600 but not many) and they certainly don't have the crispness necessary either plus I'd image that I'd soon have a headache after tryin' to read text for an hour or so. ;)
Corbinator, I'm almost sure that you must use a pnp monitor for nView to work and maybe for XP as well (though I havn't tried it as all my monitors are pnp).

Do you just hook up the second monitor while your in windows or while the system is off?
I can't seem to get a hang of nview, seems confusing, any tutorials around to help me configure the settings?
