Default HD modding

Hello well I didn't know where to post this thread so I guessed it would be fine in Case Modding. Well this is a mod I did with a spare 14 year old quantum fireball from my old gatway I had a long time ago. The hd is 13gb in perfect working condition and I was really board so I modded it with a clear cover and it only took about 10mins, also I wouldn't recomend trying it with a brand new hd unless your perfectly sure you can do it.

What you need:
1. A drill
2. Acrlic
3. hd
4. something to cover the hd so nothing falls on the disk

1. Unscrew the hd cover and pull it off
2. cover the hd with a box of some sort
3. take the hdcover and put it on top of an acrylic peice
4. drill the holes and cut the acrylic to the right size using the hd cover to align the holes in the right place.
5. remove seal and put it on the acrylic sheet
6. screw on the acrylic peice and hope it work
7. sit back relax and watch your new clear hd work.

here are some pics.

Cool, lets see it installed, and you should have added a little led lighting in there. But really, that's cool!

I wonder how long it'll last before before it dies?

Someone, I don't think that's a concern. It should be dead already.
