It´s not overdone in the sense that I have all sorts of extraneous cables jsut to make it look *****in. It is more than most people would need in their houses, but hey, If your going to go, you may as well go all out :D

My 48 port hubble patch panel is quite handy, because I have a ton of cat5 runs in my appt., and this way, I can easily patch the various locations into the appropriate switch.

I have a lot of LAN parties at my house, and lots of my buddies bring two computers, and use one just for web browsing and icq, while they want a fast connection on one to transfer files and whatnot.

The patch panel makes it cake to switch people around from switch to switch.

oh well if you have lots of lan parties then ya that's a different story I was gonna say there are 5 people in my house 6 computers is there a need for a 24 port hub? lol I have a 4 port router and a 5 port hub. ;)
