Picked up a new HSF, can't wait to try it. Nice copper base, quiet fan. Right now I'm using the HSF off a P4C 3.0 and it damn loud. Spins at 4800RPM and cools at 37C. Hopefully this new HSF will quiet things down a little bit. Comes with a POT that can be mounded in a PCI slot or a 3 1/2" bay. |

Well performance on this HSF wasnt as good as expected. CPU temp now up 45C on full load, up for 37C. These temps are still within intels spec of 75C max, so no worries aobut that. The good news is that this HSF is much quieter which is really what i wanted.

For something that moves only 20CFM of air, 37dB is way high; those arent great numbers. Aero HSF have some good designs, if they're your thing, ya might wanna look at some of the other ones that move more air and are quieter. Just my :2cents: , : peace2: Mista K6

I find the fans arent too bad of a design. the mouse wheel fan has the ability to direct air right over the die of the CPU, where as a normal 80mm case fan has a dead spot right in the middle over the CPU die so i was execting a little more out of it. However, compared to the OEM intel HSF I had off the P4C 3.0, I am happy with it. Temps are a bit higher, but noise is a lot lower. The intel OEM HSF screamed as it was tuning at up to 4800RPM which is pretty loud.

My stock didn't go past 3000 but that thing was still loud like a mother ****er. If you were looking for silence why not go for a Zalman?
