'lo all, I'm looking for suggestions for a decent HSF for a 2600+ Barton XP, preferably under £40 and not too noisey but it doesent have to be silent.

I could probably also use a new case since I'm using one that's a few years old that only has one rear fan mount, any suggestions for one that's under about £80 with a few fan mounts would be good.

Thanks.

look at something like the TT volcano 7+.

for the case any of the antec/chieftec style cases are good. so are the lian li cases
basicly just anything with good airflow

the Thermaltake Silent Boost is a good performance/noise HSF (26db i think.)

SLK-900A - get version without the fan included and get a nice silent panaflo to go ontop.

Or simply attach a fan controller, or volt mod the stock fan. It's rather loud unmodded though...

Works like a charm.

Mine pulls my overclocked system down to 36 degrees idle, 47 full load.

And spend 2-3 times as much money as you would on a ThermalTake Silent Boost
