I've just installed a new motherboard (soyo sy-p41 845pe) and celeron 2.7 ghz. On first startup, Motherboard Monitor and CpuCool were both showing cpu temps of 74 C. Then it dropped to 21 C. Now it's back up to 74 C. How could it possibly have a 50 degree in such a short time. I was wondering if maybe the sensor on the motherboard is bad?

i have run into errors with motherboard monitor, saying my 2500+ @ 88c and stuff like that, if it happens rarely i wouldnt worry too much about it, but you can try reinstalling the software.

Thanks. I installed the software that came with the motherboard and it's showing 45 C. So I guess for some reason MBM is just registering wrong.
