Ok i am seeing lots of posts on heatsinks, to keep the cpu cool. But i am more concerned about the general airflow on my system. My case has 7 2050rpm fans. I wanted to do a little upgrading on the fan part. Currently what are the best case fans available, and what alternatives are the best (special exhaust ect.)?

Thank you

Dre

What are the characteristics you are looking for? High CFM, low noise? Ball bearing or sleeve bearing?

EDIT: RPM isnt the only factor in how effective a fan is.

Whichever will deliever the best over all cooling. Noise doesnt bother me too much.

I have the Enermax and Antec versions of those UNEEC cases which are very similar and I find 34cfm BB fans give the best compromise between good airflow and quiet operation.

Well, I just installed two dual ball bearing Thermal Take fans (from Xoxide). The 60mm was $8 and pushes 21CFM at 28dB, and the 80mm was $7 (although I shoulda gone with the 92mm, GAH that pisses me off, anyways  ) and pushes 37 CFM at 30dB. They have a good CFM/noise ratio, however I still find them a little too loud, I think I'm going to buy two zalman fan mates to turn them down a bit. I guess if you dont care about noise a tornado is the way to go, but that would drive me insane (55dB). I'm really looking into silent cooling for my next case (lots of vantec stealth fans?). Anywho, I think thermal take makes a good fan. But research each fan and see what ya like best. Good luck, : peace2: Mista K6
