I'm using an MSI Kt4 Ultra and it currently doesn't have anything cooling the northbridge. Any suggestions on what I should get to help cool this sucker as my system temp ranges in the mid 40C?

Also, I have the Foxconn case with the air duct for the processor:
http://www.casedge.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductID=59
(mine isn't as ugly but its the same basic design)
Whats the best way to make use of this, would putting a fan between the case and the duct do much to help cool the processor further?

I'm currently using the stock HSF that came with the processor but soon as I've got some cash and the Volcano 11 is on the market I'll get it. the Processor is currently running at 52C idle and seems to be about the same after heavy useage.

If I can knock a few degrees off the CPU and system temp I'm gonna look into doing a little overclock :woot:

I guess a fan would help and deffinitely the volcano 11 for the processor as for the chipset cooling I'd say just an 80mm fan would do with some screws holding it in place along with maybe some for case fans for intake or exhaust. You can also get the exhaust fans that fit into a pci slot and provide pretty good cooling for the case:thumb:

got a dremmel? cut a square on both sides of the case and get 2 fans one for intake on the side and one for exhaust and maybee even one on the top.

You can probally pull this off pretty easy with the aluminum case that you have or are getting maybe a window? with some cold cathodes and led fans.

and that my:2cents:

heres a great place for fans www.xoxide.com

I use a ThermalTake Tiger 1 Orb chipset cooler and it works great. It has a fan running at around 5500rpm's with no noticeable noise, very quiet.

Hmm since thats made for the intel chipset I guess I'd just have to paste the sucker on since it uses different connectors.

I'm using the Zalman passive heatsink on my Northbridge, no fans to worry about.
