I just purchased the Gigibyte Cooler with AS5 and must say that I am happy with it. However, I am concerned that it is not seated properly because the heatsink is so cool. My temps are acceptable- 43-45c at idle(ambient air temp 23-39c), 56-59c at load with vcor set to 1.75. Because the heatsink is so cool to the the touch, and verified 36c with a digital thermometer, should I try to reset the heatsink?
Is this a true statement ----->The better the heatsink is seated on the cpu, the better it will tranfer heat, therefore, the warmer it should be? Or, can I assume becasue my temp differential from idle to load is within acceptable limits, that the heatsink is seated properly?

Also, Is a thermal probe taped to the bottom of my processor going to more accurate than MBM5 or Speedfan?

if its not seated you would see much much higher temps...aslo if you just did this, give it a couple days for the AS to set....it will reduce the temps another 1-3 degrees.....
