Default help need to be cooler

ok i have an



asus p5w dh deluxe motherboard
intel core 2 e6600 conroe socket 775
2x 512 mb of crucial ballistic ddr2
core speed 2630mhz
7900gt 256 mb gddr graghics

mb temp is 42%
cpu is 58%
know then i have put in a couple of fans which has helped cool the mb
but cpu is still cooking whats the best cpu cooler i can get

58 is not too hot for a Conroe.

Anyway: is what I'm using on my E6600

I dont know much about intel since im an AMD person but here is a list of intel coolers for socket 775 from frozen cpu http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g40/...775-Page1.html maby one of the other guys could point out a good cooler for your price range

That is way too hot. I have the Arctic Silencer Freezer 7 PRO and my temps are only 30-35C full load running dual prime with my CPU clocked to 2.8GHz. Either reseat your cooler or get a better one. Your temps should be far lower or your Vcore could also be set much too high. Something is not right.

Heres a good cpu cooler can also be used on conroe.

WOW cable management problem?

Having never worked personaly with a Core 2 Duo, I can't suggest a cooler or proper temps. But One would think that anything over 50C is too hot. I try to keep my AMD systems under 45C under full load, overclocked. Around 40 stock, not always successful however.

Burton88, I can't see that CPU cooler under that spagetti! Get some zip ties, I bet you could drop your own temps a few degrees just by cleaning up that clutter.
