Default help the nub!

Finally took the plunge and have the following components coming in:

HW GTX480 radiator
4 Sythe Ultra Kaze 2000rpm fans in pull configuration
4 old 120/25 fans with insides dremeled out to use as shrouds
Laing 3.25 pump
XSPC res/top
Bit power 45 degree rotaries with 1/2" high flow barbs, clamps
Koolance V4 QDC- 2ea male/female- and labeled w/colored tape
Tygon 3603 1/2"x3/4"- 8 feet
primochill anti kink coils
enzotech sapphire cpu block
spare o rings
silver for homemade kill coil
custom external rad box. lined with soundproofing foam
seperate power supply in rad box for pump and fans

Heres the game plan ( questions are highlighted and italicized ) :

Flush rad with hot distiiled water to clean out flux and any other particles

Dissamble cpu block, brush pins, flush as above, reassemble, check flatness and lap if necessary ( cpu aleady lapped)

flush res, remove pump top, install res/top

install fittings- never done this before, lots of questions- use teflon tape? clear silicone at top of threads? how tight?

Cut hoses to length with hose cutter- as short as possible

mount fans, radiator, pump, power supply to rad box- mounting pump on homemade bracket on top of homemade shoggy sponge

install hoses with silver coil in a short length of tubing- how tight should clamps be?

fill res, turn pump on until res is almost dry, shutoff, refill res, repeat until system full

run 24-72 hours to check for leaks, flush- how do I setup drain line or otherwise flush loop with XSPC res/top?

refill with distiiled, repeat test cycle if necessary

mount cpu block to motherboard ( use artic silver 5, works fine for me)

hook quick coonects up, run loop without system powered to get air bubbles out and make final check for leaks

Should I coat mb and video card with conformal coating as insurance against leaks? It looks to be a big project to do it right.

Am I missing anything?
Anything I should do differently?

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated

Nothing on the threads, thats what the O rings are for, IMO small wrench snug.

To keep from flushing you could put a cheap in line water filter in the return side of the loop with 5 micron filter, then remove it when everything is leak tested.
