Just in case there are more stupid people like :o me out there: when you buy a rheostat, make sure it can handle the load.
I got a nice one (1kohm) from work, but when I used it, it just gave one tick, smelled funny and died. Turns out it couldn't handle the 12v/1A fan I tried to control.

BTW do you think a 150mm/212cfm fan is overkill:rolleyes:

Sunbeam has a rheostat that can handle up to 20W per channel, or about 1.6A. Maybe you should look into that one.;)

Since my next computer will have only 1 fan (+psu fan)
I only need 1 controller. I just found one for about $12 dollars.
